Turkey arrests 20 IS suspects ahead of G20 summit
Nov 6, Ankara: Turkish police have arrested some 20 people suspected of links to the Islamic State group ahead of a G-20 summit near the Mediterranean coastal city of Antalya, local media reported.
Two Russian nationals were among the suspected detained in simultaneous in raids in and around Antalya.
US President Barack Obama will be among the world leaders arriving for the summit on 15-16 November.
Following a string of deadly bombings, Turkey has stepped up operations against IS militants. Anti-terror police carried out simultaneous raids in three districts of Antalya early on Friday, local media said.
Turkey said that it has banned 20,000 suspected foreign fighters from entering the country and deported more than 2,000 foreign militants.
