Apr 28, Seoul: South Korean presidential candidate's Moon Jae-in's spokesman on Friday has stated that the deployment of the US anti-missile system ‘should be decision for next S. Korean govt’.

The spokesman for the front runner in South Korea’s upcoming presidential election stated that the deployment of the US THAAD anti-missile defense system should be “immediately suspended” and a decision by the next government should be awaited. “As stressed again, the issue of THAAD deployment should be handed over to the next [South Korean] government,” Youn Kwan-suk, said in a statement.

The remark from the South Korean presidential candidate has come in response to US President Donald Trump’s remarks during an interview with Reuters, in which he stated that South Korea should pay for the system.
