Nigeria: Muslim woman activist releases 30 Inmates from Kaduna convicts Prison

In an effort to encourage and strengthen peaceful co-existence and religious tolerance among Nigerians, a Muslim woman activist Ramatu Tijjani has secured the release of 30 inmates, among them a Christian from Kaduna convicts Prison Northwest Nigeria.
The Christian inmate was freed to enable him participate in the 40 days fasting and prayers with his family members at Home during the lenten period.
Lenten is a Holy and sacred period to all Christians Catholics around the world, adding that Nigerian really needed prayers from everyone to survive, saying she settled his court fine to enable him regained his freedom as an individual.
" I wished to have release 30 in-mates all Christians but was able to bail-out only one but am hoping to release more Christians before the end of their fasting ,so that they can celebrate the Easter together with their love once at home.
"Nigeria is a country that suffered frequent religious and ethnic crisis in the past and many Non Governmental Organizations and the government are busy trying to educate the citizens on the importance of tolerance and coexistence.
“ We are all from one family under God, Adams and Eve were our original biological parents, we all have religious Books Bible and Qur’an. We all worshipped one God and believed in Paradise and Hell ,therefore we must be our brothers keepers”she added
“I don’t care how much I spend to bail out the Christian inmate all I wanted is to see him happily involved in the 40 days fasting and prayers at home with his families at their various places of worshipped, this is my contribution to peace building and the promotion of religious tolerance and service to humanity and mankind”.
Yakubu Musa ,45 years of age , a Christian, who spend 3 weeks in prison thanked her for the gesture as he promised to be a better person.
Pastor Yohanna Buru, who is the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical Intercessory Fellowship Ministry comended the Muslim woman for the move to promote peace in the country.
" Only God will pay her for what she has done for the payment of the court fine with her money to release inmates among them a single Christian. So, unbehalf of Nigerian Christians we are saying thank you for such a wonderful gesture," he said.
