Nepal voting for new constitution amid protest
Sept.16, Kathmandu: Security is beefed up in Nepal amid ongoing protest in the southern belt of the country against the making of new constitution that is being voted.
Home Ministry officials said that that 40 people have died in the protest over the past month. The security has been bolstered in the religious buildings as the CA members declared Nepal a secular state. There was a blast in a church in eastern Nepal.
Nepal's Constituent Assembly is expected to finish voting Thursday and expected to introduce the new constitution by late Sunday.
