Israel authorizes to block Jerusalem suburbs
Oct.14, Jerusalem: Security cabinet of Israel has approved to impose several measures to stop ongoing violence in Jerusalem. This is one the strict measures by Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu that authorizes police to seal off or impose a curfew on parts of Jerusalem in case of friction or incitement to violence. The step has been taken to prevent further clashes in the area was said in a statement released on Wednesday.
The decision also allows the deployment of security forces throughout Jerusalem's public transport network, using military units to reinforce Israeli police force and to demolish terrorist homes and revoking their permanent residency.
Israeli security forces has crackdown on Palestinian worshippers at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem since last month where violent clashed has increased in numbers.
On Tuesday PM Netanyahu warned that he will take any measures to restore peace in the cities of Israel.
A Palestinian was killed in clashes with Israeli security forces in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, the latest such incident in nearly two weeks of violence.
