ISIL claims suicide attack in Saudi mosque
Oct.27, Riyadh: The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) has claimed the responsibility of suicide bombing at Shia mosque in Saudi Arabia. At least one person was killed and 16 others injured in Najran city, southeast of the country.
The operation was targeted to the Ismaili Shia sect, the minority in Saudi Arabia. Half of the population in Nirjan belong to Shia group.
The police have found the attackers car and a note written to his parents confirming the attack at the mosque. The explosion took place when the suicide bomber entered the mosque.
Most of Saudi Arabia's Shia live in Eastern Province, where they have been targeted four times in the past year by bombings and shootings claimed by the ISIL group.
