Indonesia: Seven killed in Bali village landslide
Feb.10, Jakarta: At least seven people, including two children, have been killed in a landslide on the popular Indonesian tourist island of Bali, reprots said.
Two others have been seriously injured in the incident at Songan village on the north east of the island. The victims include a seven-year-old girl and a one-year-old boy, as well their mother. Five homes were also destroyed.
According to a national disaster agency spokesman, the landslide hit at about 23:00 on Thursday (1500 GMT), and was caused by heavy rain.
Red Cross aid workers, the military and police are searching for survivors, media reports said.
