Germany to start border controls to cope with migrant influx
Sept.13, Berlin: Germany is to reintroduce some measures of controls on its border to cope with the influx of migrants, local media reported.
However, it is not clear what measures would be introduced.
Germany's Bild newspaper and Austria's Kronen Zeitung said controls would be in place on the Bavaria-Austria border.
Germany has also warned that the country was stretched to capacity to accommodate refugees as the huge influx of migrants has continued increasing in southern Germany.
Munich authorities said that at least 13,000 asylum seekers arrived on Saturday, adding up to about 450,000 others who have already arrived to the country this year.
Record numbers have also been crossing from Serbia into Hungary and they are also struggling to cope with new arrivals of migrants.
Munich police spokesman said that, "Given the numbers from Saturday, it is very clear that we have reached the upper limit of our capacity."
Germany expects 800,000 migrants to arrive this year.
