Five people killed in Bomb blast in Pakistan
June 23, Islamabad: Five people lost their lives, and 12 others were injured as a blast shook Quetta's Gulistan Road area on Friday morning, police said.
The blast occurred close to Inspector General Police Ehsan Mehboob's office. “The injured were moved to Quetta's Civil Hospital, where an emergency has been declared and security has been tightened,” police said.
A rescue operation is still underway in the area, forensic team arrived at the site of the incident shortly after however, the intensity of the blast is yet to be determined. Security forces have reached the area, which has been cordoned off, and an initial investigation is underway.
