Deadly blast at presidential palace in Yemen's Aden

Jan 28, Sanaa: At least five people have been killed and six others were injured after a car bomb went off outside the presidential palace in the southern Yemeni city of Aden.

A local official said that those dead were  mostly security guards. The explosion happened as a suicide car bomber rammed into cement blocks that protect the gate of the palace in the Masheeq area.

President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi recently returned to Aden from exile in Saudi Arabia. He fled the city last year as Houthi rebels and allied forces closed in on the city.
