Clashes rock Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque for third day
Sept.15, Jerusalem: Israeli soldiers have once again stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque in East al-Quds of Jerusalem for a third straight day and clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces erupted at Mosque.
The president of Jerusalem's Affairs Department Suleiman Ahmad, who is currently at the scene, said that at least 16 Palestinians were injured in the early Tuesday clashes, Al Jazeera reported.
Israeli police are set to allow Jewish activists to tour the courtyards of the mosque, which in the past has stirred angry reactions from Palestinians who fear Israel may change the rules for visiting Al-Aqsa compound.
The tours, which are accompanied by a heavy Israeli police presence, last until 0800 GMT.
