Sept 21, Abuja: At least 54 people have been killed and 90 injured in three explosions in the north-eastern Nigerian city. Suspected Islamic extremists detonated three explosive devices in Maiduguri.
The army spokesman has blamed the Islamist militant group Boko Haram for the attack on Sunday night.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the initial suspicion has fallen on the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram, which has resorted to hit-and-run tactics after the Nigerian military recaptured territory once held by the militants.
