At least 40 ISIL fighters killed in air strike in Syria
Oct.19, Baghdad: A UK based Human Rights group says 40 Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) fighters are killed in an air strike. The human rights monitoring group the Observatory said unidentified warplanes hit the 16-vehicles motorcade overnight between Saturday and Sunday in Hama province.
The Observatory was not able to say whether the raids were carried out by Russian warplanes or Syrian regime ones but they did not belong to coalition led by the US.
Russia, a key ally of the Syrian regime of President Bashar al-Assad, has been carrying out a campaign of air strikes against his opponents since September 30.
