150 rescued from boat accident in Myanmar
Oct 16, Naypyidaw: Rescuers are still searching a river in central Myanmar after a ferry capsized killing at least 14 people.
According to reports, the ferry was carrying over 250 and 85 are still missing after the accident early on Saturday morning in the Chindwin river. So far only 150 people have been rescued.
According to a rescue official, they had located the ferry on the river bed and were now trying to salvage it with cranes, Such accidents are still common in Myanmar as many people still rely on old crowded boats for transport.
